Do people get in trouble for keeping movie/game rentals? Basicly keeping the forever?

I don't know if you'd get into real trouble, but they will charge you many late fees and then the highest price for the item, so basically you would be paying 2 to 3 times as much as if you just went and bought it at some store.Do people get in trouble for keeping movie/game rentals? You CAN get into trouble. Here in Georgia, USA they will get a warrant for your arrest and the you will be charged with 'Theft By Taking'. It's best to take it back, even if you don't pay anything, as long as you give it back, they can't arrest you. If you no longer have it, then at least call them and let them know this, as at least they won't waste their time getting a warrant (usually).Do people get in trouble for keeping movie/game rentals? Like they said about the no new rentals. Plus, often when an account is opened someone has to give them a credid card # so they can charge outrageous amounts for movies not returned. So if that card belongs to someone else, like a parent, older sibling... a member of your local gang, you just might get in trouble.
I believe that is called 'stealing'
not really but if u go back to da same store u cant rent until u pay and ull receive annoying billing statements. but no credit agency
well they wont send cops after you if thats what your asking but if its a chain store like blockbuster i dont think they will let you rent more movies until u return it of pay for it
No! Cause you keep it forever yet they might charge you or keep calling you and bugging you about it. Then when you go to the movies and still don't bring the rental back. You cannot check out another till' you do. When you do they will charge you a lot of money.
