There is a site call gamesnflix.com where you can rent unlimited movies and games (3 at a time) in any combination. It is a good deal because you only need one membership. But if you are only interested in games and not movies go with gamefly.com.

From my experience renting online you may have a 3-5 business day turn around time as you send in your old game and your new game rental arrives.


Blockbuster currently doesn't offer game rentals through the mail. So the only process to exchange your old game for something new would be to make a trip to your local blockbuster.

If it is the rental service in which you are sent games through the mail, then expect 2-3 days for games to get to you, and 2-3 days shipping them back. If it is the kind that lets you downlad the games or stream them, it depends on you internet connection. You will get games at a pretty good rate if you have a fast connection. Bad deal for dialup though.





If you are into older games, and newer arcadish games, try gametap (www.gametap.com). It only costs $6.95 a month.

Now Gamefly has two shipping centers now which are in Los Angeles and Pittsburgh. When you put it in the mail the US Post offices alert gamefly that they have one of your games and send the next game without needing the game to be returned to gamefly. They don't get all of the games that come out but they do get most of them. It takes two to four days to get to your house and it keep it prices and buy it are cheap!!! It's $8.95 for the first month and $15.95 for the months after that if you rent one game but if you rent two it's $22.95.

Gamefly is great, i have it, and it only takes about 2-3 days to get a game and if you were to use blockebuster for that amount of games, prices would be extremely high, and that new thin blockbuster has is expensive and u get the game a day earlier if u were to drive there and that doesnt mean the game is in stock, so i reccomen gamefly

Blockbuster does charge late fees, but they give you a one week grace period added on to the original rental days. Game rentals are for about 3 days, + the one week grace period, so you should be fine.

it is before they close. some stores close at 10pm others at 12 midnight. and to correct a few answers. some blockbusters (such as the one I work at) if the game isn't returned b4 10 pm when we close you are charged $1 for each day after that after 10 days with the game we charge the retail price on top of the late fees. even if you return it when the employees are still there after 10 it doesn't mean you wont get charged. we have to shut down the registers at some point and some ppl don't understand that. the thing about no late fees no longer applies. every store has different terms so just read the bottom of your receipt or call the store the number is on the cover of the rental you haveBlockbuster game rental?
The due date will be Tuesday before 12. Blockbuster counts the day you rented the game as one day so it's always best to rent them as early as you can.





A good thing to know is you could technically keep the game for another 4, maybe 5 days before you get charged for the game you rent giving you 9-10 days to play the game..
there's no late fees unless you've kept it for 30 days so your good but i think its wednesday

with the current trend in the gaming industry being to push games that focus on intense graphics and top out at 10 hours of gameplay yes it's very worthwhile.





DOWNSIDES


1st they only have 2 distribution centers, first being in PA the other in CA the further you are from these 2 the longer the mailing time.





2nd they might not have newer games immediately available, which can be a bit irritating.





overall though still much cheaper than buying something you'll only play for a few days.

If you want to rent games you should either check out your local Blockbuster or the website Gamefly.com. You don't get the free rentals with Gamecrazy, you get them with Hollywood Video. The same company owns both stores. I guess you can keep each game for the standard 5 days and maybe re-rent the same game (if you feel like it) by using up one of the 12 free rentals. Or you can have more than one game at a time (not sure about the limit, guessing that it's less than TWELVE) by using a free rental coupon for each game.





However, the last I remember (I bought a DS there a long time ago) is that you get one rental per month, for 12 months. Not sure the policy has changed. Read the coupons carefully.

I've used both gameznflix and gamefly.





Gameznflix was cheaper, but we had major problems with getting our games. They would receive a game and then wait five, six, seven or more days before sending out our replacement. They also will not (at least, would not six months ago when we used them) send you a new mailer if you lose or ruin yours.





Gamefly used to be awesome, two or three years ago. In the last six months (we went back to them after leaving gameznflix) they have been terrible. They're still great in theory, but they are too big for themselves now. Good luck getting any games you want. Out of 47 games in our queue, only 3 are currently available. We are stuck with getting older games that we don't have a lot of interest in just to get the use out of our account. We are cancelling it!

Recently I rented left 4 dead from blockbuster. The lady said something about how for everyday that the game is late it costs 99c and after a certain # of days i own the game. it is 99c a day but if u want to keep the game, pay in cash so she doesn't have your credit card number etc. that way she cant take the 99c out. only thing she can do is call but who cares. then jus never return it.





But a safer bet is just to buy it from Game Stop if u want it. BUt yeah it is 99c for every late day and they'll take it form your credit card number every late dayBlockbuster game rental policy?
Okay Lucky kinda has it right but not really. Say your game is due Sunday, its due Sunday BEFORE 10pm, after 10pm your blockbuster account will be charged 99 cents for each day its late, to avoid late fees you must return the game before they close, if you show up after 10pm and they're closed but still cleaning up it doesn't mean they can check it in. After having the game a total of 10 days from the day you rented it instead of charging you lates fees they're going to charge your credit card on file the retail price of the game which is $59.99 plus tax.


For example if its due Sunday and you return it the following Wednesday your credit card won't be charged $3 for the late fees, that fee stays on your blockbuster accnt until you pay it, if not paid w/in 30 days THEN they charge your credit card the $3. So just returning the game 7 days late and not paying the fee doesn't get you out of anything, they'll still get their $ somehow. There are no additional costs for owning the game just the fact that you paid the extra $9 to rent the game to find out if you'd even like it or not which is still better than paying $60 for a game then find out that it sucks and you can't return it.





For an easier translation just read your receipt, it says the title of the game under the title it gives the due date, then under that it states the date you will own it and how much they will charge you.

I have played all 3 and they are pretty good but the one i liked the best was Heavenly Sword her are some things about the other games





Time Shift was unique like Prince of Persia with its time shifting capabilities but in the end it is hard to control and can get boring and tedious sometimes and then there is a feature that will have the suit choose which time specification you would like in critical moments (fast foward, reverse, or stop) and then it will choose the one you needed the least causeing you to die and then spawn back at the cheachpoint. The online was not that great they didn't do much detail or fun gameplay in it so it's is not that fun. The graphics are ok the controls take a little to get used to and it is short.





Haze- has a good plot you being a super trooper when you have to defect to the other side and use what you have learned against the people you used to be. The game play is as fun as any other shooter out there there are no real specials features about this game and the online gameplay is much better than Time Shift. Haze is a good game to sit down and fly by some levels with a gun in your hand and blowing people up and it is a decently long campaign depends on how good you are and on what setting. Graphica are good, gameplay is easy, and online is fun and this is a great game to play with your friends its tied for Heavenly Sword with me





Heavenly Sword is a super fun game to just tear people to shreads it is the female version of God of War and is almost as gory and violent. The graphics are good and the engine is powerful to produce over 2000 enemies on the battle field that you can go in and destroy with your sword. The story is good get the Sword, portect the Sword, and save your people when they are captured by saving them with the Sword. They use the motion sensors in this game for when you throw something, shoot and arrow, or a cannon ball the with the motion sensors (sixaxis) you can control the flight of the object and make it hit the most important part of your foe since some you have to hit in certain areas to kill them. There is no online but in each level you earn medals that unlock bounus features

Ok so I liked this guy and I though he liked me but when I tried talking to him he would speak very little to me but I wanted to get to know him really bad that I made a fake facebook with my friend's photos. Yes Gamefly is actually a very good service. There are cheaper options out there, most overseas but it's not worth it. They will send you the wrong games, fake games, games from a different PAL area (meaning it won't work in North America) or it might just be a scam.





Gamefly is only around $10 a month for one game at a time, or you can go up to three games at a time for around $30. They have a very big selection and they get games as soon as they are released.





A few downsides are that they only have two locations so shipping times take awhile. My games take about 6 days to come. Also it's very, very hard to get a new game right away because of all the requests, you just have to get lucky. Also they only have current software, no old school games.





But overall I reccommend it!

I wasn't aware of any services other than Gamefly. You could rent used games from Gamestop and return them within a week to get a full refund, but you would only have a week to beat games then and they would probably catch on after a few times.

Gamefly by a long shot. They have the best selection available for console game rentals including handhelds and they're more affordable. You can keep games as long as you want with no hidden late fee BS like Blockbuster pulls and, if you want to buy what you're renting you can just use the ';keep it'; feature and score it at a discount. Their games are always in good shape and they send along all the original packaging and manuals for you so it's pretty much just like you bought a game off the shelf.





Plus, Blockbusters and Hollywood Videos are closing up shop all over the place. I really doubt they're going to be in business much longer.

For a side business? No, It won't work to well because you will really have no way of assuring that your product will be returned or if it is returned that it will be in good condition. There is alot of competition out there for it, Gamefly, Hollywood Video, Movie Gallery, Blockbuster, all that. I would say you should pass on this idea, but im sure you can find something else even better, Try to get something that hasn't been done, start your own different type of business. And if it's profitable and does very well, make sure to hire me in a high position XD
Do some research and get some real numbers on how much you would spend for inventory and how long it'll take you to make back your initial investment. To do this, you'll also need to try and quantify the demand for your product. In my opinion the market seems small, you might want to look into other related markets.

Also: People who are renting game systems, especially for things like parties, know how to use game systems (anyone can do it, i mean, 5 year olds can operate the things, and almost everyone has played once, and that's all you need). Seriously, they designed these things so idiots could figure it out, and games are easy to figure out. My mom figured out the new football game, and she can barely use the computer (she's not big with technology).





Everyone has systems of their own, as well. And, friends bring theres for special occations. My family has multiple systems. We have 2 Wii's for example, and that's not that rare. Games are almost next to nothing right now, with the economy down, and again, blockbuster is a trusted source.





Your going to owe a lot of maintance, since systems are fragile. When people don't own stuff like that, they beat it up. Imagine a Wii at a 8 year old boy's party. Poor thing wouldn't stand a chance. Disks get scratched, too. And game systems are pretty picky about scratches. They're not as forgiving as DVDs. Your going to be replacing stuff left and right, and your going to have to do something about those nasty people who think the word ';rent'; means ';steal';.





And, no one is going to want a strange dude hanging out in there house with them while they play, especially when they have friends or lots of people over. Sounds to me like you just want to go to people's houses to play games.





I would really think before putting a lot of money into that. Just being honest here. It won't do that great.

Good luck I went to all the forums I know of and the only one I know you can do this is E-rewards but you have to do $15 in surveys to get 6 free game or movie rentals. Each survey is worth anywhere from 50 cents (if you do not qualify) to $20 ($4 is average though). Good luck....I would suggest trying to be an e-rewards member though :)

They already a X-rated movie company that mails out DVD's so you may be late to the game. My suggestion is looking into doing it with Amazon who will send out your movies for you or companies that will send your inventory to your customers. Look into going to porn or game conventions in order to buy DVD's or games in order to start your business. Good luck!
There are other smaller competitors to Netflix and Blockbuster by mail like GreenCine and DVDAvenue, both of which offer adult content. But you'd need some serious capital to start up a business that competes with these giants on sending DVDs in the mail.
