How do Blockbuster game rentals work out?

Well, I'm new to the whole renting games thing, but I've decided to try it out. The website didn't tell me much, so I'm asking Yahoo. Do you need a membership to rent games? (Just to make sure) And if so, what are the membership details? Is there a cost to renting games or is it a monthly plan thing? Well, if you plan on renting a lot of games, you might want to opt for the month rental. My friend has it. He can either rent two movies, two games or a movie and a game and return it the next day for another two movies, games or one of each. It's about 35 dollars. A membership from Blockbuster is simple, but not necessary. However, if you plan to rent a lot, it'll be easier to just do it. You go to the store and pick a game that you would like to try out for like a week once it cost like 6$ per game but if you have a late fee they will charge you more they will tell you how long intil you should return it or else you will get a late fee =D.
